Most NBA players are sensitive about their weaknesses. Ask Zach Randolph about his problems on defense and he will insist that he plays hard defense. Ask Jarrett Jack why so many guards zipped past him, and he would give a puzzled look as if he doesn't know what you are talking about.

"A lot of people in the NBA are careful about what they say to guys, because they don't want to get on their bad side,'' Roy said. "But you know, I take criticism well.''

And the knock on Roy?

He can only make plays when he has the ball in his hands.

As a result, the main focus of Roy's offseason drills is to work without the ball.

"I felt there were times last year ... not that I hurt the team, but I could have been better if I was better off the ball,'' Roy said. "If I was better coming off screens, better at running downcourt ... instead I was looking to get the ball instead of running to the wing.''

In his workouts, Roy said the focus of his drills is to catch-and-shoot as quickly as he can.

"I just train myself to catch-and-shoot, catch-and-shoot,'' Roy said.

Well I will certainly look for that when he plays.
