How do you all feel about having the Lakers as our first opponent? Personally, I would've preffered to face them a bit later (get some practice). One of the positives is that we do get to finish our tough games early (15 of 22 games on the road), leaving our end of the season easier.

I can't wait for this game! I'm expecting one of the best center showdowns to go down next year when Bynum and Oden hit the court. It should be a fun game to watch. I'm also glad that we finish the tough games early so we can have a break before we do some damage in the playoffs!! LETS GO BLAZERS!

Yeah it's going to be a tremendous challenge to start off the season, esp. considering it's a road game. With a healthy Oden and with Rudy & Bayless we shouldn't be afraid of any team in the NBA, however.

Certainly all these road game can only build character, and how we do would be a definitive barometer on if we're a legit contender or not.

I agree. Those road games will tell us what kind of a team they are, and how they can finish on the road.
