The Portland Trail Blazers today announced their five-game schedule for the 2008 NBA Summer League Presented by EA SPORTS. The league’s summer showcase of players from the 2008 NBA Draft class and free agents will be played at the Thomas & Mack Center and the COX Pavilion on the campus of the University of Nevada, Las Vegas and will feature 21 NBA teams competing over 10 days, from July 11-20.
Portland will open play in the desert on Monday, July 14 vs. the Washington Wizards and conclude on Sunday, July 20 against the New Orleans Hornets.
The Trail Blazers are expected to name their Summer League roster next week.
All five TrailBlazers Summer League games will be broadcast live on Comcast SportsNet. Each Trail Blazers game will also be replayed twice on Comcast SportsNet. NBA TV will also broadcast 23 games from Las Vegas as well as provide reports on the Summer League teams, featuring interviews with players, coaches and team executives.
Trailblazers.com will also be on hand in Las Vegas to provide multimedia coverage from Summer League. The Trail Blazers official website will be the home of exclusive features and profiles of the Trail Blazers summer league roster, interviews with players, coaches and staff, live in-game blogs, videos, pictures, game recaps and practice reports.
Other NBA teams slated for action in Las Vegas includes the Charlotte Bobcats, Cleveland Cavaliers, Dallas Mavericks, Denver Nuggets, Detroit Pistons, Golden State Warriors, Houston Rockets, Los Angeles Clippers, Los Angeles Lakers, Memphis Grizzlies, Milwaukee Bucks, Minnesota Timberwolves, New York Knicks, Philadelphia 76ers, Phoenix Suns, Sacramento Kings, San Antonio Spurs, and the Toronto Raptors. |
